The Beauty of Nature Through Digital Photography

My lifelong interest in nature photography changed from admirer to photographer in May 2023 when I discovered mirrorless digital cameras.

Using in-camera body and lens stabilisation, sophisticated auto-focus tracking, and dedicated image development software, there is now no limit to what can be achieved.

I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy creating them. Questions and comments are always welcome.

Wandering thoughts and musings.

In 2023 this blog began with the simple aim of getting me off the couch and exploring my local countryside. It worked, and also triggered my interest in becoming a wildlife photographer.

Since then it has morphed into a record of my photographic journey, including both the ups and the downs.

Please also share your thoughts and experiences, it helps us all to learn.

The UK Countryside Code logo.

The UK contains a lot of wonderful countryside but is also home to many millions of people. This causes our countryside to be heavily used, and sometimes to be heavily misused. By following the guidance found in both the UK Countryside Code and the US "Leave no trace" movement, you can help preserve our environment for future generations.
